A company founded and led by University of the West of Scotland (UWS) graduates has picked up the award for Best VR Enterprise Solution of the Year at the International VR Awards 2023. Graduates Mark Baxter and Charles Seguin, who struck up a friendship whilst studying Computer Games Development at UWS in 2012, are celebrating their company Digitalnauts’ success at the International VR Awards, which are designed to recognise outstanding achievement in virtual reality (VR) around the world. Former Student Athlete Lands Basketball Coaching Role at Allegheny College

A New York native who travelled to Scotland to undertake his postgraduate qualification at University of the West of Scotland (UWS) has been appointed as an assistant coach for the Allegheny College men's basketball team. Kris Carroll, who graduated with a MSc in International Management from UWS Paisley Campus in 2023, was a star player for the UWS basketball team helping them to reach the Scottish Student Basketball championship finals. Carroll also played for the Renfrew Rocks, who compete in the Scottish Basketball Championship (SBC) Division I.
