Alumnus Appointed MD of Global Life Sciences and Animal Health at WittKieffer

University of the West of Scotland (UWS) law graduate and experienced executive search professional Joe Kennedy has joined WittKieffer as Managing Director of Global Life Sciences & Animal Health. Joe Kennedy Based in London, Joe joins WittKieffer to lead its extension into Animal Health & Sciences. Graduating from UWS Paisley Campus in 2007 with a BA in Law, he is a seasoned executive search professional with extensive global experience within the segment, including for senior scientific, medical/veterinary, commercial, operational and functional roles. In Memoriam: Professor Angus McAllister

The University is sad to share the news that former lecturer, Professor Angus McAllister, died on 31st of March 2024. Professor Angus McAllister Angus joined the Department of Land Economics at Paisley College in 1978 as a Lecturer and was later promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1986, finally joining the University’s Professoriate group in 2014. Angus taught modules in the subject areas of Law and Advanced Property Law. He was Course Leader for the BA Business & Management programme from 1991-2000 and Course Leader for the BA Sports Development programme from 2003-2008. For many years he wrote academic books and articles, as well as fiction. It is with great sadness that we let alumni know of the sudden death of Colin MacIntosh, Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Creative Industries in July 2023. Many alumni will have known Colin who taught Law at UWS and at Bell College for many years.
