Revlon Appoints UWS Graduate as Chief Information and Digital Officer

One of the leading global beauty companies, Revlon Group Holdings LLC, has appointed a University of the West of Scotland (UWS) graduate to the role of Chief Information and Digital Officer.

Ralph Marshall, computing graduate (1992) from the then University of Paisley, now UWS Paisley Campus, will join Revlon in April 2025, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Michelle Peluso.

His end-to-end technical expertise and deep understanding of how to leverage technology to strengthen the consumer experience will be critical as we work to unlock the long-term growth potential of our brands.”

A seasoned technology leader and strategic innovator, Ralph has over 25 years of experience working with highly successful global brands, including Marks & Spencer, McDonald’s, Nando’s, Starbucks and Merlin Entertainments. Most recently, he served as the Global CTO at Merlin Entertainments, a global leader in branded entertainment destinations, welcoming over 60 million guests annually across 23 countries.

Prior to that, Ralph served as VP of Technology EMEA at Starbucks, where he contributed to one of the most significant change periods in the history of the international division. In 2022, he expanded his responsibilities to roll out Starbucks Digital Solutions (SDS) across 86 international markets extending into Asia Pacific and Latin America. During his tenure, he established and led a new team in London, providing efficient global digital solutions for the 60+ international licensee community, which is now live in 40+ countries serving over two million transactions a day.

Earlier in his career, he was the IT Restaurant Solutions Director Europe at McDonald’s, where he led one of the company’s largest programmes, focusing on the strategic reinvigoration of all restaurant technology systems across 7300+ sites. He introduced the first digital innovation labs in Europe and contributed to the global digital customer experience strategy, leading to the worldwide rollout of kiosks and mobile ordering. Before joining McDonald’s Ralph held several senior roles at Marks & Spencer in both operations & technology.
