University of the West of Scotland (UWS) graduate, Andrew Dobbie, is amongst the winners in the Campaign Magazine UK 40 Over 40 Awards, honouring professionals in advertising, media, marketing, and technology.

Andrew, who graduated from University of Paisley (now UWS) in 2003, has been recognised for his outstanding contributions to the industry, from ground-breaking work, head-turning innovations to outside-of-the-box thinking and memorable campaigns as CEO of MadeBrave.
Commenting on social media, Andrew said: “Over the moon to be named on Campaign’s 40 Over 40 list.
“Some days when you’re running a business you need a wee positive shot of adrenaline in the arm. There are plenty of ups and downs, and today’s firmly in the up column.”
Following graduation from the BSc Multimedia Systems degree at UWS, he went on to found creative agency MadeBrave in 2012 on a shoestring budget of just £1000. Now considered one of the UK’s leading branding experts, Andrew believes strongly in brands that live their purpose and that the best brands are built from the inside-out.
MadeBrave is one of the UK’s Top Independent Brand & Creative Agencies – a multi-million-pound business working with some of the world’s leading brands, while helping entrepreneurs build brave brands of their own.
The company has also been named one of the Top 100 Small Companies to Work For in the UK by The Sunday Times, Best Places to Work by Campaign Magazine, and listed among The Drum’s Top 100 Independent Agencies.
In addition to running MadeBrave, Andrew is well known for presenting a monthly podcast, ‘Just A Chat With’, celebrating best-in-class creativity from around the world.
