A very happy retirement to Professor Malcolm Crowe, who has retired after 46 years service at University of the West of Scotland (UWS).
Malcolm, who has a degree in Mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin and a DPhil from the University of Oxford, joined the then Paisley College of Technology in 1972 (now UWS Paisley Campus) as a Lecturer Grade II in the Department of Mathematics & Computing, becoming first Associate Head and then Professor of the Department of Computing.
As a Head of Department, he pursued the addition of soft skills to Computing, with the development of undergraduate and Masters courses in Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Information Systems at the University.
He has been awarded Emeritus Professor in the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University.
