Congratulations to Chelsea midfielder and Scotland international Erin Cuthbert, who was voted EE Women’s Player of the Year for 2023.

Erin, who studied at UWS before becoming a professional football player, received an Honorary Doctorate from UWS in the summer of 2023.

Erin who was studying Marketing at UWS Paisley Campus before joining Chelsea from Glasgow City in 2016 has enjoyed various successes during her time at Chelsea including a domestic double. On the international stage, she has earned 58 caps for Scotland and was named Scottish Women’s Football International Player of the Year in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
