A University of the West of Scotland (UWS) graduate has been named in the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs 2024, which recognises top leaders driving significant channel growth.
Gordon Mackintosh, Group Vice President at Juniper Partner Organization, studied International Marketing from 1993 to 1998 at University of Paisley (now UWS Paisley Campus), before going on to complete a postgraduate qualification in Information Technology in 1999 at the University.
In his role as Group Vice President, Global Channels and Virtual Sales, Gordon is driving Juniper’s go-to-market strategy with partners, aimed at delivering greater business outcomes through Juniper’s broad portfolio of secure, AI-driven, cloud-based solutions, and managed-services offerings.

Gordon Mackintosh
Born in Paisley, Gordon’s experience includes leading high-performance teams in executive sales and channel management roles at Fortune 100 networking and technology companies. Prior to Juniper, he served as the Global Head of Channels and Distribution at Extreme Networks, where he deployed new partner programs and initiatives to drive partner growth and profitability and develop new Enterprise business through virtual sales teams.

Joining Cisco following graduation in 1999 Gordon took on a role with the European Promotions Helpdesk, where he developed his skills and connections. Gordon moved from the UK to California in 2004, where he worked in various roles, latterly developing industry-leading partner go-to-market programs and leading direct and indirect sales teams for cloud and software solutions in small- and medium-sized enterprise markets, before moving to Extreme Networks.
Gordon was also recognised as a 2023 Channel Influencer Award Winner by Channel Futures. The award recognises channel leaders who are trailblazers, chosen for past accomplishments and the impact they are expected to make in the future.
